Wimpys Little Step Becomes NRHA’s
Youngest $2 Million Sire.
[June 09 , 2010 - AM.10:25 AM] Written by
NRHA
Wimpys
Little StepWimpys Little Step made history at this
year’s Carolina Classic Derby, held May 13-16 in
Williamston, N.C., when his offspring surpassed $2
million in NRHA earnings. The flashy palomino stallion
joins eight of NRHA’s leading stallions as a Two Million
Dollar Sire and is the youngest – by a margin of five
years – to attain that status.
The 11-year-old stallion (Nu Chex To Cash x Leolita Step
x Forty Seven) has an impressive show record. He won the
2002 NRHA Futurity and earned more than $185,000 in just
three NRHA competitions with NRHA Three Million Dollar
Rider Shawn Flarida, Springfield, Ohio, in the saddle.
With only three foal crops in NRHA competition, he’s
already proven his ability to pass his talent on to
future generations.
“As an individual, he is so kind,” said owner Mark
Schols, Ocala, Fla. “Yet he has such explosive
athleticism. He’s passing on that mind.”
Wimpys Little Step’s offspring include some of today’s
top reining horses. Wimpys Little Chic (out of Collena
Chic Olena by Smart Chic Olena) is the first horse in
NRHA history to win the NRHA Futurity, the National
Reining Breeders Classic and the NRHA Derby
consecutively, all with Flarida riding. The 6-year-old
mare is part of her sire’s first foal crop. She is owned
by Arcese Quarter Horses USA, Weatherford, Texas, and
has won more than $486,000 in NRHA competition, making
her the NRHA’s current lifetime earnings leader. Her
Equi-Stat earnings top $500,000.
RC Fancy Step (out of Sonita Wilson by Doc Wilson),
owned by Buffalo Ranch, Fort Worth, Texas, is an NRHA
Derby, All American Quarter Horse Congress and
three-time Wimpys Little Step Derby Champion with more
than $320,000 in earnings. He also is ridden by Flarida.
The Carolina Classic Derby proved Wimpy’s ability to
produce reining horses for all levels of competition.
Wimpys Show Stopper (out of Pinesail by Topsail Cody),
owned by Charles Vaughan, earned the Open Championship
with Flarida aboard. Jessicah Torpey rode Wimpys Smart
Step (out of Bar S Smart Lookin by Smart Chic Olena),
owned by Torpey Performance Horses, Princeton, Ky., to
the Non-Pro Reserve Championship. Andre DeBellefeuille
piloted Smart Step N Chic (out of Homecoming Chic by
Smart Chic Olena), owned by Equine Plus, St-Hilaire,
Canada, to Co-Championships in both the Intermediate
Non-Pro and Prime Time Non-Pro.

WILD THING DNA
son of SMART LITTLE LENA frozen semen available
for Europe.
[January 30, 2007] - Dec. 2006 Pacific
Coast Journal
Bred, trained and shown by Bill Freeman, Wild Thig carried
his trainer to over $112,000 in NCHA earnings. Bill, who
liked the colt from the very beginning, even chose to put
the first rides on him. "Wild Thing was an extremely easy
horse to start," said Freeman. "I actually broke him
self...which is a rare thing. I put the first five or six
rides on him. But I didn't have the time, so I turned him
over to Josh Townsend, who was working for me at the time,
for his two-year-old year."
Wild Thing DNA by Smart Little Lena and
out of the great mare, Autumn Boon. Freeman bred Wild
Thing's dam, the great mare, Autumn Boon, to Smart Little
Lena in 1997 to prodice the double registered stallion.
Autumn Boon, who is by Dual Pep and of the great all-time
leading producer Royal Blue Boon, ha NCHA lifetime
earnings of $259,685, and has produced earners of
$511,962. She was the 1998 NCHA Open Super Stake Champion
with freeman in the saddle. The pair also won the 1998
Augusta Futurity 4yo Open Championship, the El Cid
Futurity 4yo Open Championship, the 1999 NCHA Super Stake
Open Classic Challenge, the 1999Polo Ranch Classic Open
Reserve Championship, and the 2000 Augusta Futurity 5/6yo
Open Co-Reserve Championship.
Autumn Boon is truly one of the great
cutting mares of her time.
Have you seen the NRHA Futurity results?
[November 12, 2006]
Topsail Whiz progeny continues to score big results: in
each final there are Whiz of 1st or 2nd generation.
If you consider only the sons of Topsail Whiz in 2006
futurity finals, they won 75.000, but if you also count
the 2° generation you reach 150.000!! And we don’t
consider the $ 1° and 2° top score….
Whiz progeny is the present and, for sure, also the
future.
Don’t miss this chance!
For 2007 European breeding season you can have the highest
money earner of the Whiz family: Easy Otie Whiz! He was
born in 1999, but has already won $243.441 in 4 years.

more.
